{"id":19593,"date":"2025-07-14T13:11:47","date_gmt":"2025-07-14T13:11:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iplantprotect.pt\/?p=14428"},"modified":"2025-09-05T18:02:48","modified_gmt":"2025-09-05T18:02:48","slug":"inpp-at-the-ciencia-2025-meeting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iplantprotect.pt\/en\/inpp-no-encontro-ciencia-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"InPP at the Science 2025 Meeting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">InnovPlantProtect (InPP) was present at the Science 2025 Meeting in Lisbon, at the Nova SBE Campus, to take part in the parallel session \u201cCrop Protection for One Health, and Food and Environmental Sustainability\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Encontro Ci\u00eancia took place from July 9 to 11 at the NOVA SBE Campus in Carcavelos, with the motto \u201cScience, Innovation and Society\u201d. Portugal's largest science and technology meeting was the stage for promoting and discussing the scientific, social, cultural and economic impact of research in Portugal, exploring the intersection between science, innovation and society, to inspire new ideas and foster transformative collaborations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The director of the Data Management and Risk Analysis Department, Ricardo Ramiro, and the director of the New Biopesticides Department, Cristina Azevedo, presented some of the results of their work in this session co-moderated by the executive director, Ant\u00f3nio Saraiva. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the session, two important solutions for the agricultural sector, developed by our team, were presented:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>iCountPests - an innovative app that uses AI to detect and count pests accurately and quickly in photos of chromotropic traps. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>InPP 2 - a broad-spectrum biofungicide capable of fighting Botrytis cinerea, the fungus responsible for gray rot in tomatoes. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CoLAB MORE Colab - Collaborative Mountain Research Laboratory and Sfcolab - Collaborative Laboratory for Digital Innovation in Agriculture, were also present at the parallel session, as well as GREEN-IT, to discuss how science and innovation can tackle the challenges of climate change and promote more sustainable agricultural systems. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"14437\" src=\"https:\/\/easb4aajaue.exactdn.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/518400127_1329172589208131_1862322626284829999_n-edited.jpg?strip=all&w=800\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14437\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"14439\" src=\"https:\/\/easb4aajaue.exactdn.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/518345268_1329170972541626_4212917309122065054_n-edited.jpg?strip=all&w=800\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14439\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"14441\" src=\"https:\/\/easb4aajaue.exactdn.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/518181821_1329171262541597_3752821767990402098_n-edited.jpg?strip=all&w=800\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14441\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"14435\" src=\"https:\/\/easb4aajaue.exactdn.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/518300734_1329172319208158_3464688222392870807_n-1024x577.jpg?strip=all&resize=800%2C451\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14435\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>O InnovPlantProtect (InPP) esteve presente no Encontro Ci\u00eancia 2025 em Lisboa, no Campus da Nova SBE, para participar na sess\u00e3o paralela &#8220;Prote\u00e7\u00e3o de Culturas para Uma s\u00f3 Sa\u00fade, e Sustentabilidade Alimentar e Ambiental&#8221;.
