{"id":13624,"date":"2024-10-24T14:18:29","date_gmt":"2024-10-24T14:18:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iplantprotect.pt\/?p=13624"},"modified":"2025-05-14T17:19:57","modified_gmt":"2025-05-14T17:19:57","slug":"inpp-took-part-in-the-first-insectera-congress","status":"publish","type":"eventos","link":"https:\/\/iplantprotect.pt\/en\/eventos\/inpp-participou-no-i-congresso-insectera\/","title":{"rendered":"InPP took part in the 1st InsectERA Congress"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On the day <strong>October 23rd InnovPlantProtect (InPP) took part in the 1st Congress of the InsectERA Mobilizing Agenda<\/strong>, The event took place at the Estoril School of Hospitality and Tourism (ESHTE) in Estoril.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The pioneering event in Portugal, which in this first edition was under the theme \u201cInsects as a tool for sustainability\u201d, had more than 200 participants, 16 speakers, 2 round tables and 50 scientific posters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"13687\" src=\"https:\/\/easb4aajaue.exactdn.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/DSC03895-min-1-edited-scaled.jpg?strip=all&w=800\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13687\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"13689\" src=\"https:\/\/easb4aajaue.exactdn.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/DSC04011-min-edited-scaled.jpg?strip=all&w=800\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13689\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"13693\" src=\"https:\/\/easb4aajaue.exactdn.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/DSC04225-reduce-edited.jpg?strip=all&w=800\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13693\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Image credits: InsectERA Mobilizing Agenda<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The researchers, Leonor Martins and Lu\u00eds Grilo, the director of the Specific Crop Protection department, Sandra Correia, the innovation manager Paulo Madeira and the executive director Pedro Fevereiro, represented CoLAB elvense at the congress which brought together experts and industry leaders to debate the challenges, opportunities and potential of a new bioindustrial sector - insects as bioindustrial tools for sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The congress also featured speeches by Jo\u00e3o Teixeira Leite, Mayor of Santar\u00e9m, and Carlos Carreiras, Mayor of Cascais, highlighting the role of local policies in sustainability.
