Welcome to InnovPlantProtect

InnovPlantProtect (InPP) is a collaborative laboratory (CoLab), a public-private non-profit association, created to develop biobased innovative solutions to protect crops from pests and diseases, and provide monitoring and diagnosis services, thus contributing to the sustainability of agricultural systems. Its main focus are Mediterranean crops, specilly their protection against emergent pests and diseases associated with climate change, whose harmful effects are already visible in many countries, including Portugal.

Our Products

New biopesticides

Based on oligopeptides/ RNA interference

  • Produced by GRAS (generally recognized as safe) microorganisms or from the phytomicrobiome
  • Formulated with biocompatible micro/ nanoparticles

New plant varieties

  • Through selection assisted by molecular markers
  • Through genome editing
